Overburdened counselors and staff are stretching as far as they can, but it's impossible to meet the need. With Alongside, schools can provide 24/7, tier 1 mental health support for every student and save counselors time to focus on tier 2 and 3.

Using our app, students use a chatbot to talk to the llama and get personalized support developed by our team of clinicians. The llama makes it comfortable for students to open up about their specific challenges for 80+ issues. Students learn skills to solve their own problems and commit to concrete goals to take action in real life. The app is designed for middle and high school students, and the company works exclusively with schools.

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Representative to join our team at Alongside. As a Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our company by executing the company’s sales process and helping our customers in their journey to evaluate and purchase the Alongside app. Your expertise will be crucial in maximizing new opportunities and conversion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements to help scale our business. This is position will be responsible for all small and medium sized school districts in an open territory of the western United States.

What You'll Do

  • Execute with precision a multi-step sales process that puts the customer’s journey at the center, aligning our objectives to the customers need
  • Proactively source new sales opportunities, to augment opportunities generated by our marketing function
  • Own all conversations and presentations for your sales pipeline, and occasionally use our founders, clinical team, and/or customer success for support with high-ROI opportunities
  • Travel for in-person, high-impact meetings with our customers
  • Collaborate with our marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment of efforts and drive revenue growth
  • Identify and address challenges and conflicts within our sales process to ensure continuous improvement
  • Monitor industry trends and stay updated on emerging sales technologies and techniques to maintain a competitive edge

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in sales; experience in K-12 education required and experience with Student Services departments a bonus
  • Has a history of exceeding their sales quota
  • Expert of the customer journey, and is constantly focused on aligning individual objectives to our customer’s needs
  • Comfortable communicating with superintendents and district administrators, as well as school counselors
  • Able and excited to travel regularly to in-person school and district meetings
  • Proficient with Salesforce and other software (OpenPhone, Calendly, etc.) to execute a sales process effectively
  • Craves data and has a track record of using strong analytical skills to optimize sales efforts
  • Thrives working on a small, entrepreneurial team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment


Compensation will be commensurate with other early stage startup companies and will include salary, commission, and an equity component.
