Violeta 'Blanca' Jaure PhD, LPCC, LADAC has a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University with a specialization in integrated health care.
She has been a therapist in the southwest for over ten years specializing in adolescent mental health. Blanca attained her M.A. in Counseling and Educational Psychology from NMSU in 2008.
As a mental health therapist, she is trained and certified in a variety of approaches and techniques to treat substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD and many other issues related to mental health.
She has worked in multiple community mental health centers and has spent much of her career as a mental health therapist in school-based health centers across the state of New Mexico working with children and adolescents.
Her research has been focused on adolescent mental health, specifically looking at the perceptions of mental health care among adolescents regarding help seeking, stigma and mental health literacy within rural, high risk adolescent populations.
She is passionate about social justice and finding ways to support underserved communities in gaining access to mental health care.
